Get it now.

Like many of you, I did not discover Brandon’s books until the passing of Mr. Jordan. I then decided to find out what kind of writer Brandon was, and if I felt like he could handle the mantle he had been bestowed.

I loved his books. The allomancer series was nothing short of brilliant, with a great inventive magic system. After reading that series, I felt like he would do great with the WOT, little did I know it would be everything I had hoped for and more. The only I am not overly dissappointed that the book was broken into three books, as this one alone was around 900 pages. I don’t know if I want the series to end.

Excerpt from page 22 first chapter, with regard to the storm on the horizon in the borderlands:

Thulin nodded, then climbed up into the wagon. “you might want to come north too, Renald. If you do, bring everything you can.” He paused. “You’re good enough with the tools you have here to do some small metalwork, so take your best sythes and turn them into polearms. Your two best sythes; now don’t go skimping around with anything that’s a second best or third best. Get your best, because it’s the weapon you’re going to use.”

I was hooked, from that moment on. The feel of the coming storm is palpable, and the action is nothing short of amazing. There is a battle scene with Egwene that was one of the most memorable scenes of the entire book for me. This was a great read, I recommend it to anyone, and I just want to reiterate that I now KNOW the rest of the WOT series is in the best hands it could be in. Thanks Brandon!

PDF Books On Your iPhone

If you have a large collection of books in PDF format, and you would like to read them on your iPhone, but don’t like the current PDF readers, this brief article will explain a great way to get your books on your iPhone.
1. Download Stanza on your iPhone
Stanza is an amazing book reader for the iPhone, it supports several formats (not pdf, but we will get to that), it is theme-able, and has several great features. (including font sizes, colors, portrait/landscape, justification, line spacing, hypenation, and it is quite customizable).

2. Convert your PDF books into epub.
You need to get your PDF books into a better format for stanza. I prefer epub. I recommend using epub2go. It will allow you to upload the pdf book from your computer, and will email you the converted epub file. The great thing about this method is in the next step.

3. Open the email from epub2go on your iphone, and if Stanza is installed, it will automatically pick the file up, and put it into your library. That’s all there is to it! Now you can read your PDF books in epub format with Stanza, a great free book reader on y our iPhone.
